English Language Arts (ELA):
In-depth study of American, British, and world literature
Literary analysis, critical essays, and research writing
Argumentative and expository writing
SAT/ACT prep and Regents exam readiness
Public speaking and structured debate
Independent reading and response
Math:
Algebra I: Linear equations, functions, graphing
Geometry: Proofs, transformations, trigonometry basics
Algebra II: Complex equations, polynomials, probability, and statistics
Pre-Calculus/Calculus (if offered): Functions, limits, and derivatives
Regents preparation at each level
Science:
Living Environment (Biology): Cells, genetics, ecology, evolution
Earth Science: Rocks, weather, space systems
Chemistry: Atoms, chemical reactions, stoichiometry
Physics: Motion, forces, electricity, and waves
Lab work is required for Regents exams
Electives may include Environmental Science or Health
Social Studies:
Global History & Geography I & II: Ancient civilizations to modern global affairs
U.S. History & Government: Constitution, major historical events, civil rights
Participation in Government (Grade 12): Civic responsibilities, democracy, current events
Economics (Grade 12): Financial literacy, economic systems, supply and demand
